Phishing Alert - Impersonation of Pickit 3D Employees
We have witnessed a recent increase in phishing attempts that are impersonating employees of Pickit 3D. We have received reports of individuals receiving emails and messages that falsely claim to be from our staff, often requesting information or urgent action.
These phishing attempts may involve:
Email spoofing: Emails that appear to originate from legitimate Pickit 3D email addresses, but are in fact often sent from the false domain pickiit3d.com (two ii’s).
Impersonation of specific employees: Phishing emails may use the names and titles of known Pickit 3D personnel.
Requests for action: These emails may ask to engage in procurement processes or projects, including payments.
Urgent or threatening language: Phishing messages may create a sense of urgency or fear to pressure recipients into immediate action.
Attachments or links: Phishing emails may contain malicious attachments or links that can infect your systems with malware.
Please be vigilant and take the following precautions:
Verify sender authenticity: Always double-check the sender's email address. If you are unsure, contact the purported sender directly via a known and trusted communication channel (e.g., phone call, previously established email address).
Be wary of urgent requests: Phishing emails often create a sense of urgency to bypass critical thinking.
Do not provide sensitive information: Never provide login credentials, financial information, or other sensitive data in response to an unsolicited email.
Do not click on suspicious links or open attachments: Avoid clicking on links or opening attachments from unknown or suspicious senders.
Report suspicious activity: If you receive a suspicious email or message that claims to be from Pickit 3D, please report it immediately to us.
