Junior software engineer (Korea)

Your mission is to work together with our global robotics engineers and software developers to add features and functionality to our platform in an efficient and reliable manner. Your job will be equally diverse.

Your responsibilities are

  • Pick-it 3D vision platform development as a part of the Pick-it development team.

  • Participate in the management of public software releases and supporting infrastructure.

  • Add new features and functionality to our platform and test performance with industrial robots in our office.

  • Development service and support for Korean customers and research projects in Korea.

Your work is done in our office in Dongtan, Korea. You will be part of the product development team in global (Leuven, Barcelona, and Korea) and work closely with the Korea team for performing local customer projects. Working in a scale-up team, means the opportunity to have real impact every day. You have to be ready to take the corresponding responsibility.

The most important criteria for joining our team are:

  • Masters degree in computer science or robotics (or equivalent by experience).

  • Proficiency in C++, our main development language. Proficiency in other languages like Python and JavaScript is a plus.

  • Knowledge of development tools like version control systems (git), unit testing frameworks, debuggers, profilers, build tools (CMake).

  • Comfortable working in Linux environments.

  • Nice to have:
    • Knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Docker, integration with GitHub.

    • Experience in robotics and ROS.

  • Good written and verbal skills in English and Korean.

  • Passionate about robotics and automation.

  • A ‘can-do’ mentality to solve a variety of technical challenges pragmatically.

  • Comfortable with traveling and working with engineers in the field.

  • You are proactive and take ownership of your work.

  • Comfortable with joining in on a passionate technical discussion and love working in teams.
