Finance & Operations Officer

Pick-it and Intermodalics are looking for a Finance and Operations Officer to develop and optimise its financial and internal operations. We are two sister companies with activities worldwide. Our office is located in Leuven. Our activities comprise software development services on the edge of technology (Intermodalics) as well as the sale of a high-tech 3D vision camera and software for robots arms (Pick-it). At this point our companies can count on 30 employees.

Your responsibilities are

  • Keep track and improve our financial actuals on a monthly basis, perform analysis and mitigate errors.

  • Keep track and improve our internal operations, such as stocking, shipping and return processes, setting up web-based tools and automations, ordering and invoicing.

  • Stay in touch with the sales team to understand and monitor our revenue and other KPIs on the short, mid and long term.

  • Assist in analysing our cost structure, in relation with our margins, cost of customer acquisition.

  • Follow-up and improve our shipping and invoicing processes with our foreign offices.

  • Support our foreign offices in the US and Korea in their legal and fiscal matters by partnering with experts.

  • Assist with cash flow follow-up and forecasting.

  • Prepare financial and operational documents for banks and our board meetings.

  • Create and review our contracts and agreements together with our legal council

  • Coordinate our fiscal accounting (with the management assistant & accounting firm).

So you'd better be efficient in number crunching because there's a lot more to do outside the spreadsheet !

The most important criteria for joining our team are:

  • You are a medior with the ambition to grow with the company.

  • You are IT-savvy and like automation and tooling like we do !

  • You know how to read financial statements and resolve missing or conflicting financial information.

  • You have a genuine interest in our market, how it operates, our place in the value chain and how we can monetize best.

  • A master degree in finance, economics or equivalent by experience.

  • Language skills: English is mandatory, Dutch/French is a plus.

  • Fluent in Excel / Google Sheets

  • Previous experience with using online tools, for example: Salesforce, Hubspot, Zapier, Odoo, Process Street, Slack, Atlassian tools,...

  • Education or experience in organising processes.

  • Education or experience in financial controlling/follow-up.
